Desert Rolling
Today I rode a perfect spot in perfect weather: Reno, NV
I'm not sure what the park's name was but it had really, really nice tennis courts that were almost as nice as Grant. No one looked at me funny or called the cops during my 3 hour solo session and I had a good time. I got some new earbud headphones for my ipod and they completely isolate me from the outside world. It's good to get lost in music and just concentrate on the trick at hand.
Here's what I'm working on:
barspin peg wheelies
fire hydrant to side squeak
frontyard scuffing
switch handed forward steamrollers, (just trying to get the feel of rolling them)
mega-spins, (hey Paul! I figured out what I'm doing wrong!)
forward Karl Cruisers, (just trying to step into them. The fork-bike really helped me with this one's balance point.)
I bought Matt Wilhelm's instructional video and I have to say that it's really, really helpful. I've been falling asleep watching it at night: flatland by osmosis...
Anyway, it's nice to have my bike here with me. I need to pump up the tires and I'm putting my back brake on as soon as I get home. I think it's time to learn rear wheel stuff.
It sounds like the sessions back home are heating up. I can't wait!

No, you fucking rock! A lot of my drive to learn tricks comes from watching you, Paul, Joe & Justin throw down daily.
